• Community Conversations (ONLINE)
    with Madison Mallett
    Available Packages:
    $0.00Community Conversations (ONLINE) (2025-11-06 | 2026-01-15)

Starting in November, we will have soup and bread provided as an opportunity to share a meal.

Community Conversations is a way to build community through conversation. Coming together as a community is something we highly value at Satya. While each of us leads lives across a diverse array of experiences, beliefs, and backgrounds, the practice of yoga is what unites us all – building a greater connection with ourselves, and each other.

Community Conversations is a space where members of the Satya community – and beyond – continue the unifying practice of yoga through purposeful, facilitated conversations. Much like the physical practice of yoga asana (poses), the practice of intentional conversation is a practice of connection and awareness. As we exercise our capacity for purposeful and patient communication, we gain a greater understanding of ourselves and others, build a stronger sense of community, and carry compassion forward into the rest of our lives.

This practice integrates fundamental tenets of yoga philosophy, namely ahimsa (nonviolence) and satya (truth), while using the framework of Community Building Circles (CBCs) to facilitate the intentional time together. In each 90-minute gathering, Madison will guide participants through thoughtfully prepared questions that center around a particular theme, to which all participants have the opportunity to respond. In order to ensure a respectful space for all, conversations follow community-established guidelines. Read more about these down below.

CURRENT THEME THROUGHOUT AUTUMN 2025: The Courage to Be

This season of Community Conversations is inspired by Paul Tillich's The Courage to Be. According to Tillich, courage is essential to human existence. Courage is what drives us to act intentionally as we navigate the many challenges and uncertainties of life. When we feel overwhelmed by tragedies of the world, be they near or far, courage is what enables us to create positive change. Courage calls us to be brave in the face of doubt, demands that we act rather than surrender. As we collectively strive to create a better world, courage is what makes every one of us powerful, resilient, and capable.

Each conversation in this theme will ask individuals to explore this idea of courageous being. We will each have the opportunity to share about our unique expression of being courageous, as well as listen to how others find courage within their own sense of self. Through honest dialogue and compassionate listening, our community will learn about courage and being.

Please note that you are not required to attend every session.

  • Yin Yoga Sleepover
    with Hollie Meador
    Available Packages:
    $90.00One-Day Workshop (2026-01-03)

Join Hollie for this unique experience at Studio Satya.

Born out of a desire to linger in a yin yoga practice without the worry of time or anywhere to go afterward, the concept emerged. This is an opportunity to sink deeply into the practice, without a need to leave the studio. Given the timing of this event, we will immerse ourselves fully in a practice honoring the Winter season. This is when we initiate our inward reflection, not necessarily taking action out in the world. Sinking into the moment to create a vision that we hold steadily in our hearts throughout our journey in 2026 and beyond.

There will be a potluck, and options for playful community projects, exploring childlike activities such as coloring or painting. Sleeping arrangements will be sorted depending on who would like to go to sleep sooner, and who wants to stay up longer.

In the morning, we will wake in sacred silence to arrive again in a space of reflection, and will end our time together with a practice of gentle movement and chanting to bless the time together and the studio space itself. After leaving the studio, we can share breakfast at TacoDeli, if desired.

Things to Note!1) Sleeping arrangements will be like glamping, so bring something to sleep on (cot, camping pad, blowup mattress), or reach out to us for extra sleeping options. We’ll have two sleeping areas – one in the main studio where lights will go out earlier, and the kids room where those who wish to stay up a little longer can sleep. The office is also an option for anyone who needs more personal space.

    2) Arrival time is set at 4pm, but if you need to arrive late that is okay. We will have some activities to do as everyone arrives, and will share a meal around 6pm. We’ll setup for sleeping prior to starting class, practice together, then shift into the remainder of our evening.
