Fascia is the connective tissue around and between your muscles, joints and bones. Unhealthy fascia is often the cause of stiffness, discomfort and poor mobility. Healthy fascia not only helps you move through daily life with comfort and ease, it also aids in body awareness which reduces the risk of injury. In this class, we will move gently the first few minutes, and then use a variety of techniques and tools to hydrate and release the fascia. With ongoing practice of these techniques, you will enjoy more comfortable and free movement. Plus, the practice itself just feels great! You will need simple props just as a yoga blanket or beach towel, yoga blocks or books, a yoga strap or belt, and two tennis balls.
