    Feeling the need to reset, unwind, and relax? Come escape for a decadent afternoon of self-care with Amelia for a restorative session designed to make you feel rested, pampered, and recharged. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a themed mindfulness meditation, cooling flow set to the sounds of the natural world, and close with a soothing, candle-lit yin practice accompanied by optional lotions, oils, and spa products. This workshop is designed to leave you feeling just as rejuvenated as if you had emerged from an afternoon at the spa.

    We are excited to partner with Lush for this special offering. Lush Cosmetics at The Domain Northside is proud to join forces with Satya Sanctuary to manifest a self-care moment for students. At Lush, we have always been purveyors of self care in the form of long candle lit baths, heavenly showers, fair trade organic cocoa butter massages, and perfume made from high quality essential oils that are sourced ethically.  We make our products fresh, by hand, with little or no preservatives or packaging, using only vegetarian ingredients, and tell you when they were made.     Transitions in yoga, and life, can be challenging. Graceful and controlled transitions, in harmony with the breath, is a beautiful way to be present in the in-between moments. In this workshop, we will explore how to tap into strength and stability to transition more freely and fluidly in the physical practice of asana.

    We will use props to explore various postures while breaking down the moments in between. Requests will be taken and there will be time for Q&A at the end.

    How we treat transitions may be reflective of how we move through life. Is it just a means to an end or do we approach the movement with as much interest and awe as we do the final destination/pose?

    In this workshop we will explore joy an wonder by infusing rhythm and beat into a creative yoga asana practice. Experience the transformational power of Leela, mindful movement that can open the heart and touch the soul. Dip into instinctual meditation - a beautiful, natural and effortless portal to a blissful state that is accessible to all. There will be time for processing with journaling encouraged. A lively discussion and Q&A will complete our time together.

    We all have the capacity to enhance the quality of life by adding more joy and awe, to taste bliss and to bring delight, curiosity and spontaneity back into our daily existence!

    Adrianne is a certified yoga instructor and dedicated meditator. She is the creator of Leela, a movement practice that she has taught in the US, Europe and North Africa for the past 15 years. She is the founder and artistic director of Moving Steps, a performance collaborative for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women and those in recovery. Adrianne also holds a PhD in social/psychological anthropology which continues to inform her studio and community work.
